Attending (My definitions)
1. A senior physician
2. Watching with engaged attentiveness (one’s children, one’s business, oneself)
3. Micro-managing (one’s children, one’s business, oneself)
The picture below is a plaque attached to the register of my favorite coffee shop, and I always laugh when I see it. It reminds me that while attending — and I favor definition number two — is important, it can also be a source of laughter. Especially when we look inside, or pay attention to the world, and, with a little compassion, can see how ridiculous and marvelous we human beings are all at once: what a grand mess of life it is! Praise God!
That’s hilarious.
luv it!
Hi guys — thank you for sharing my laughter
Very funny!
I wonder what the relationship with the unattended children and only taking cash is.
Maybe it’s like having your car towed at owner’s expense– you have to pay for the espresso and the free puppy.

thanks for the laugh. the price of a caffeinated child and a “what? I already named it!” puppy are far higher than a towed car . . . a truly frightening threat . . .
